July 2-3, 2009 on the base of the consumers’ co-operative TRUD of the Batyrevsky district it was held a traditional demo-exhibition of agricultural machinery FIELD DAY-2009. This demo-exhibition has become one of the key agricultural events devoted to the YEAR OF FARMER and the state program of the agricultural development until 2012.
FIELD DAY is a demonstration plot of up-to-date energy-saving and alternative technologies in agriculture. The organizers of the exhibition were the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chuvash Republic, the enterprise “Agro-Innovatios”, the administration of the Batyrevsky district. The place of running FIELD DAY-2009 was no mere chance. In the last few years the Batyrevsky district has been one of the leaders on volume purchases of agricultural machinery. For example, in 2008 it was purchased about 65 items of agricultural machinery and equipment in the amount of 65 million rubles. In 2009 it is planned to buy approximately 60 items in the amount of 85 million rubles. At present the agricultural producers of the district have purchase about 15 items in the amount of 8 million rubles. As the result for the first time in recent years by it’s become possible the power excursion in 4 % per 1 hectare (horsepower) that helps the households of the district run agricultural works in agrotechnical terms.
FIELD DAY is a unique event as the expositions are situated on the special demonstration plot or ground so that the participants of the exhibition could have a look at the up-to-date alternative technologies, new samples of high performance agricultural machinery, selective breeding results, crop-protecting agents etc. Almost all the machinery presented at the exhibition was demonstrated in process. The main idea of the exhibition is to break stereotypes and convince agricultural producers to switch to innovative cultivating technologies.
This year on the demonstration plot there were presented the expositions of more than 40 enterprises and organizations both from Russia and foreign countries. On behalf of the Chuvash Republic the following dealer companies were presented: CHUVASHAGROLEASIING, CHUVASHAGROCOMPLEKT, AGROTEKHKOMPLECT, BELPRO-SERVICE, AGROTRADING and the households of the Chuvash Republic which implement innovative technologies by means of modern domestic and foreign made machinery.
There were invited the heads of municipal entities of the Chuvash Republic, their assistants who are in charge of agroindustrial issues, the directors of agricultural enterprises, the managers of peasant farm units, the owners of personal subsidiary plots and other concerned parties.
FIELD DAY demonstrated the whole variety of agricultural machinery and production means for successful farming. All the participants were offered a range of propositions from the leading agricultural dealer companies on such fields as engineering, crediting, leasing and others.
In addition to it, as part of the exhibition it was run a competition for the best machine-operator.
