09. ON ENHANCED BILATERAL COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH AND EDUCATION

In pursuance of the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of Agricultural Research and Education signed on 19 November 2007 in New Delhi between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (RAAS), the two sides have concluded a Work Plan for the year 2009-2010 in the areas of Bio-fertilizers / Organic farming, Reclamation of saline soil, Cultivars, Animal Health, R&D projects in exchange of germplasms (wheat, corn and sunflower) and Farm Mechanization.

 Bilateral cooperation envisaged includes exchange visits of scientists, exchange of information and materials, and joint research projects in mutually identified areas.
