02. International Specialized Exhibition for Animal Husbandry and Breeding AGROFARM 2009

     The delegation of the Chuvash Republic participated in International Specialized Exhibition for Animal Husbandry and Breeding AGROFARM 2009 which took place in All-Russian Exhibition Centre in Moscow. The State Unitary Enterprise of the Chuvash Republic “Agro-Innovations” traditionally organizes a collective visit of agricultural specialists such as livestock experts, veterinarians and others to the exhibition. This year was no exception. The enterprise organized not only a visit to AGROFARM but also a visit to OJSC “Lednevo” (Fedorovka village, Yuryevo-Polsky district, Vladimir region) in order to gain experience in the sphere of dairy farming. The delegation was showed round by the livestock specialist Dmitry Arapov from “Consultant-Agro” Ltd.

May, 20 the Chuvash delegation took part in the official opening of AGROFARM 2009 where Russian and Foreign organizers and operators of the exhibition, public authorities and honorary guests appeared.
The Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation - Elena B. Skrynnik - delivered a complementary speech to participants and visitors of the exhibition. Within only 3 years the International Specialized Exhibition for Animal Husbandry and Breeding AGROFARM has become a traditional meeting-place for livestock specialists from all over the world in All-Russian Exhibition Centre. The main peculiarity of the exhibition is its expert focus. The program of the exhibition included more than 30 events on key directions of animal industry – goat breeding, sheep breeding and poultry breeding. In addition to it, seminars and roundtable discussions on various themes of animal agriculture were held. For example, animal stock reproduction, creating conditions for effective use of animal genetic potential, work organization and personnel motivation, cost minimization, attributes improvement of animal breeding production and ways of buildup of livestock enterprises’ financial soundness.
As part of the exhibition the State Unitary Enterprise of the Chuvash Republic “Agro-Innovations” held a seminar named “Effective methods of livestock breeding maintenance and means of its intensification”.  The representatives and experts of different companies and agencies took part in the seminar:

After the seminar the delegation visited the expositions of the companies as all the seminars held by the State Unitary Enterprise “Agro-Innovations” are turned and based on practice. The specialists demonstrated hooves processing technologies, last methods of udder handling before/after milking and principals of milking with the use of innovative milking machines.
All the specialists and experts on the delegation from the Chuvash Republic who visited the exhibition AGROFARM 2009 found the visit very effective as they managed to conduct negotiations about agricultural equipment procurement, share experience with other participants of the exhibition.
