OJSC “Vurnary meat packing plant”

OJSC “Vurnary meat packing plant” is one of the leading enterprises of food and processing industry of the Chuvash Republic. At present time “Vurnary meat packing plant” is a big diversified enterprise.

The meat packing plant was put into operation in 1959. Later on in 1960 the boiler and compressor houses were put into service. Gradually in 1964 there were reconstructed the abattoir building and prepared the food house of the meat packing plant. In 1965 the packing house cooler with the space of 240 tons for storing meat and meat products was put into operation.

In 1996 there were built and reconstructed the following departments: a canning department, a department of sausage products manufacture, a bake shop, a department of summer sausages and fine food etc.

The major of the enterprise is live stock dressing, manufacture of meat and meat products, sausage products, canned meats, food tallow drippings, dry animal feed. Nowadays the enterprise produces more over than 200 items of meat products which are manufactured in accordance with consumers’ request. All the production of the enterprise is made from fresh meat of domestic manufacture.

In addition to its core operations, OJSC “Vurnary meat packing plant” has in stock its own     retail trade network, haulage company, service station and mini-bakery. 

At present time both on a regular and planimetric base it is being made modernization and reconstruction of the current capital goods and also put in new facilities.

OJSC “Vurnary meat packing plant” is a present-day agro holding which not only  manufactures and processes meat products,  sausage and canned products but also keeps in its stock a dairy farm (1, 360 cattle heads) and three pig complexes of 30 thousand heads total. The basal area of whole crop of the enterprise is 8, 500 hectares where white straw crops, bean cultures and potato are being cultivated.
