During many years State Unitary Enterprise “Agro-Innovations” acts out systematic works on the cooperation development in the sphere of the farming sector between the Chuvash Republic and Germany.
The Memorandum of mutually beneficial cooperation dated February 3, 2003 and signed in Moscow by the Chuvash Republic of the Russian Federation and Bavaria, Germany laid the foundations of the active cooperation between the Department of Agriculture of the Chuvash Republic and the Department of Agriculture of Bavaria. Within 2003-2006 the heads of the forenamed departments were holding several meetings with the participation of representatives of different enterprises and businesses for the Memorandum sections discharge correcting.
At the present time the possibilities of sharing of the Chuvash Republic of the Russian Federation and Bavaria of the Federal Republic of Germany in the co-project “Regional model of the agricultural regions development in the Chuvash Republic of the Russian Federation” are being actively discussed. The co-project is held through the program of the European Commission “European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument” (ENPI). This program is directed on the improvement of collaboration in such spheres and areas as agriculture, environmental protection, education, biotechnologies and the band enhancement of neighbourhood and partnership.
As part of the cooperation development between the Chuvash Republic and Germany in 2006 the Chuvash-German co-project “Long-term development of the rural regions in the Chuvash Republic” was started. The project goal is the assistance in the industrial cooperation of personal subsidiary plots, consumers’ cooperatives and farm enterprises by means of economic capacity building, consolidation of the good-neighborly relations and improvement of living standards in a country side.
In accordance with the Memorandum dated February 3, 2003 it is conducted a very active work on the faculty and students exchange programs between the Chuvash Republic and Bavaria. For example, within several years the Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Chuvash State Agricultural Academy” directs graduates to the Federal Republic of Germany for the purpose of taking the master course “Agricultural marketing and management” at Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences in Triesdorf.
The Chuvash Republic is an active participant of different international exhibitions that take place in Germany: International Green Week, EuroTier. The enterprises and organizations of the Chuvash Republic always worthy represent the republic either at regional or international exhibitions. The production manufactured at food industry and primary processing enterprises of the Chuvash Republic fully meets all the European requirements.
One can surely say that the foreign companies are interested in the farming sector of the Chuvash Republic. Among the enterprises that closely cooperate with the corporates of the Federal Republic of Germany there should be mentioned such businesses as OJSC Chemicals Plant “Khimprom”, JSC “Vurnary Plant of Mixed Preparations”, CJSC Firm “Avgust”, OJSC “AKKOND”.
