The State Unitary Enterprise of the Chuvash Republic
“Agro-Innovations”
The State Unitary Enterprise of the Chuvash Republic “Agro-Innovations” was founded according to the Chuvash Cabinet resolution dated May 26, 2004 in order to implement the Presidential Decree № 1 dated January 8, 2004 “About Supplementary Measures to Assist Public Employment and Labor Efficiency Increase in the Rural Areas”. The organization was launched in August, 2004.
The quality management system of the enterprise satisfies the international standards of ISO 9001:2000 as for working out business plans, release of recommendation brochures and agricultural phone-books, consulting agricultural manufacturers on all agriculture-related topics.
The following tasks are allotted on the enterprise «Agro-Innovations»:
- increase farmer access to the latest innovations in the sphere of agricultural production, technologies, machinery, laws and regulations;
- implementation of new technologies and distribution of information among farmers and farming organizations;
- creation of a database of market information and agricultural innovations, and investment projects;
- database creation and publication of agricultural equipment and machinery catalogues, sharing legal and market information, periodical release of the trimestrial “Agro-Innovations”;
- agricultural staff training, master class teaching, conduction of seminars and participation in agricultural conferences, fairs and exhibitions;
- establishing contacts with foreign businesses and organizations, machinery producers and governmental structures, with the purpose of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of agricultural production, processing, access to new markets;
- promotion of establishing new agricultural organizations (associations, peasant farm enterprises, cooperatives, local extension offices etc), assistance in their official registration, business-planning.
The enterprise operates within the business mission which is annually confirmed by the Department of Agricultural and Rural development of the Chuvash Republic and coordinated by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of economic development and trade of the Chuvash Republic.
There are 19 employees at the enterprise. The director – Egorov Yuri Gennadievich.
The foundation of the State Unitary Enterprise “Agro-Innovations” is caused by the requirements of the agricultural organizations, peasant farm enterprises, consumers’ cooperatives, personal subsidiary plots in consulting services on the questions of management, marketing, finance, crediting, and innovative technologies of plant growing and animal industry as well.
The enterprise activity has got the high importance during the realization of the priority national project “Development of agroindustrial complex” and the state program “Development of agriculture of the Chuvash Republic and regulation of the market and agricultural production, raw materials and suppliers for 2008-2012”. Both the project and the program concern such problems as the implementation of new technologies, crediting, creation of rural consumers’ cooperative society, agricultural staff and head training, and farm marketing development.
